Behind-Wall Surveillance and Threat Neutralization Robot Using Microwave Sensors and Embedded IoT
Abstract
Growing challenges in counter-terrorism operations require sophisticated technologies that improve surveil- lance and threat detection. The “Behind Wall Scanner Using Microwave for Terrorist Hideout Detection” project introduces a multi-purpose behind-wall surveillance and threat-neutralization robot with microwave-based human detection, landmine detection, and anti-theft protection. The main goal is to improve counter-terrorism activities through detection of hidden human activity and buried threats while maintaining operational safety. Experimental tests prove human detection accuracy of 96% via non-metallic obstructions up to 5 meters, landmine detection accuracy of 94%, and anti-theft response dependability of 98%. These results confirm the practical applicability of the system and emphasize its originality relative to traditional fixed-point and single-purpose surveillance devices.
