Advanced Vibration Analysis for Engine Health Monitoring

Abstract


Engine health monitoring through vibration analysis has emerged as a critical aspect of predictive maintenance and fault detection in various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and marine sectors. This paper presents a comprehensive review of advanced techniques and methodologies employed in vibration analysis for engine health monitoring. The review encompasses the theoretical foundations, signal processing algorithms, and case studies demonstrating the effectiveness of vibration analysis in detecting and diagnosing engine faults. Various types of vibration sensors, data acquisition systems, and diagnostic algorithms are discussed, along with their applications in real-world scenarios. Furthermore, the paper highlights recent advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence for enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of engine health monitoring systems.
