

Assessing Institutional Quality in Higher Education: NAAC Criteria
Abstract
This research paper provides an in-depth examination of the criteria set forth by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for evaluating the quality and performance of higher education institutions. Through a systematic review and analysis, this paper elucidates the significance and implications of each criterion in assessing institutional quality, thereby contributing to a better understanding of accreditation processes in the higher education landscape. Key themes explored include curriculum design, teaching-learning methodologies, research and innovation, infrastructure, student support services, governance, and institutional values. By synthesizing existing literature and empirical evidence, this paper aims to offer insights into enhancing institutional effectiveness and promoting excellence in higher education.
