Mechanical Properties of Specimen Made by Triangular and Circular Nozzles Compared
Abstract
3D Printing, particularly Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), is a vital part of Industry 4.0. PLA (Polylactic Acid) is widely used in 3D printing due to its cost-effectiveness and desirable properties. Typically, a circular nozzle is preferred for 3D printing, but there is ongoing research into different nozzle geometries. This paper compares the mechanical properties (tensile strength, impact strength) and surface quality of products printed using circular and triangular nozzles.
