Development of an Internet of Things-based Thermoelectric Referer using Computational Fluid Dynamics
Abstract
In this work, the cooling down time rate and air temperature distribution within a fresh food compartment of a domestic refrigerator (DR) were examined using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Internet of Things (IOT) technologies. A thermoelectric/Peltier cooler (TEC) has been used to cool the refrigerator's sections. The temperature and airflow fields inside the refrigerator were precisely depicted by the constructed CFD model. The study also looks at how IoT connection, thermoelectric modules, and temperature sensors can be used to improve cooling technology and energy efficiency in refrigerators that use the thermoelectric Peltier technique of cooling. Smart management features and accurate temperature control are made possible by this integration.
