Bioinsecticides – A Source of Weapons Against Pests and Pathogens of Plants

Varsha Deshraj

Abstract

In agricultural crop production, the synthetic pesticides and insecticides are used which has got occasionally carcinogenic and residual toxic effects. The disproportionate use of it also causes severe health risks to human life, livestocks, fishes, birds, wild life and animals. Therefore, there is an immediate requirement for unconventional nontoxic pesticides. The tropical plants are usually rich source of phytochemicals with antimicrobial and biological properties. Green plants are known as the natural biochemical factories.
