A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF LIGHT-TRANSMITTING CONCRETE
Abstract
Analysts have concentrated on the concept of sustainable development to improve processes through energy efficiency. Light transmitting concrete (LTC), commonly referred to as 'LiTraCon', exemplifies this innovative progress. This review explores the foundational principles of this technology, its manufacturing process, along with its pros and cons, and various applications. The development of LiTraCon since the 1990s is examined, emphasizing how the integration of optical fibers within the concrete helps to lower energy consumption. As a result, it emerges as an eco-friendly alternative to conventional concrete. The uses of LiTraCon demonstrate its positive impact on a global scale, making it a cost-effective option for both commercial and residential projects [1].
