Preserving our Architectural Heritage through Conservation

Abstract


The field of architectural conservation addresses a broad variety of issues pertaining to our architectural legacy resources, such as historic buildings, building clusters, historic districts, heritage cities, and cultural landscapes. The natural ecosystems from whence this "living" legacy originated are likewise in symbiotic relationships with it. Improving environmental quality can be significantly aided by comprehending and protecting this interconnected ecological network.
