A Dental Abscess Treatment and Outcomes
Abstract
A compact of pus conveyed on by a bacterial infection is called a tooth abscess. For various reasons, the abscess may develop in various locations close to the tooth. A periodontal abscess develops in the gums next to a tooth root. Periapical abscesses are covered in this article. Periapical tooth abscesses are typically brought on by an injury, an untouched dental cavity, or previous dental procedure. The resulting infection can cause swelling (inflammation) and discomfort, which can lead to an abscess near the tip of the root.
