Abstract


Malaria is a protozoal disease caused by an infection with parasites of the genus Plasmodium. A febrile condition with a definite periodicity with the symptoms such as cold phase: rigor, hot phase: high fever, sweating phase: profuse sweating. Community must be educated on cause, spread, prevention and management of malaria. Individual, groups and mass educational approaches have to be used to educate the community.
