Objectives, Etiology, Epidemiology, Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, Differential Diagnosis, Treatment, Prognosis and Complications of Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency
Abstract
The most prevalent enzyme-related glycolytic deficit that causes red cell hemolysis is pyruvate kinase deficiency (PKD). Hereditary non-spherocytic anemia is always the result of PKD. This exercise explains how to diagnose and treat pyruvate kinase deficiency and emphasizes how the medical staff may help people with this illness.
