Then the pretest was conducted to both groups using Structured Knowledge Questionnaire. Followed by, structured Teaching Program was administered only to the experimental group on the same day. After 15 days, post test was conducted to both the groups. The result reveals that, the mean pretest knowledge score of experimental group was 16.46 with standard deviation of 3.04 and the mean posttest knowledge score was 22.64 with standard deviation 2.36. Where as in control group the mean pretest knowledge score was 17.52 with standard deviation 3.28 and the mean post test knowledge score was 17.22 with standard deviation of 2.90. Indicating there is an increase in mean knowledge score of 6.18 in experimental group. The study concluded that structured teaching program was found to be effective in improving the knowledge score on Post Exposure Prophylaxis of HIV/AIDS among fourth year Basic B.Sc. nursing students in experimental group.
