Abstract

Recto anal diseases encompass a spectrum of conditions impacting the rectum and anus, ranging from common issues namely haemorrhoids to more complex disorders like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and rectal cancer. While lifestyle modifications and surgical interventions are often crucial components of treatment, pharmacotherapy plays an important role in managing symptoms, reducing inflammation, and improving quality of life for individuals with recto anal diseases. In this article, we give information related to the drugs used in the treatment of recto anal diseases, highlighting their mechanisms of action and clinical applications.
