Abstract


In modern era, a special concentration is being given to external appearance especially hair growth, hair shininess and blackishness of hair along with good physique. For this,  a number of books and magazines are being publishes with updated scientific knowledge and a variety of products are available in market for local and well as oral use to prevent premature greying of hair (Palitya). The history of premature greying of hair is not new; rather, premature greying of hair (Palitya) is already mentioned in classical literature since vedas and puran and Ayurvedic Samhita periods.
