Abstract
Heat transfer enhancement (HTE) techniques have been instrumental in reducing the size and cost of various devices, improving their efficiency over time. This paper delves into the concept of thermal performance factors (TPF), which are crucial in evaluating the heat transfer rate relative to the friction factor for various enhancement techniques. Several heat transfer enhancement methods are explored, and their thermal performance factors are presented graphically, highlighting the potential improvements in heat transfer and the associated frictional losses for different techniques.
