

Easy Fit Filter Cap Modeling, Analysis, and Fabrication
Abstract
Water is one of the essential elements for life on Earth, serving as a crucial resource for fulfilling many human needs. For water to be safe for consumption and support a healthy lifestyle, it must be purified. Various purification methods such as filtration and disinfection are used to ensure that water is safe for drinking, medical, industrial, and household applications. However, water purification facilities may not always be accessible in remote or outdoor locations, requiring portable solutions. Many people use portable water bottles equipped with small filter attachments, especially when traveling to places with uncertain water quality. Unfortunately, these bottles and their filter systems are prone to damage, especially if they are dropped or subjected to rough handling. The primary goal of this work is to develop a 3D-printed bottle cap that can adapt to different types of domestic water bottles, enabling users to continue using their filter attachments even if the original bottle is damaged.
