

A Study to Assess the Quality of Life among Postmenopausal Women in Selected Village
Abstract
The present study was aimed to assess the Quality of life among post-menopausal women in selected village, Balaramapuram. The objective of the study was to assess the quality of life among post-menopausal women and to find out the association of quality of life among post- menopausal women with their selected demographic variables. The data was collected from thirty samples through snowball sampling technique using Menopause Rating scale. Out of thirty samples taken 60% had mild to moderate symptoms like heart discomfort, sleep problems, sexual problem, bladder symptom, dryness of vagina etc., 30% are asymptomatic and 10 % had severe to very severe symptoms like joint and muscular discomfort, hot flushes, physical and mental exhaustion, depressive mood. There is no significant association between quality of life among post-menopausal women with their selected demographic variables.
