A Nursing Review Article on: Home Care Of Children with Hydrocphalus

Susojeeta Goudo, Susovita Goudo

Abstract

Birth defects or chronic congenital anomalies are structural or functional abnormalities that present at birth or occasionally are only discovered later in life. Hydrocephalus is one of the irregularities that can affect the neurological system. The Ventriculoperitoneal shunt is the most widely used treatment for hydrocephalus. For kids with hydrocephalus repair, parents are crucial in spotting the signs of shunt dysfunction. It takes good information and awareness of the signs and symptoms of a shunt malfunction because the effects are unpredictable.
