SMART FARMING SYSTEM USING IOT FOR RURAL AREAS
Abstract
In modern agriculture, the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has revolutionized traditional farming practices by enabling intelligent monitoring and control systems. This project focuses on developing an IoT-based farming system that leverages advanced sensors, Raspberry Pi RP-2040 microcontroller, and renewable energy sources to enhance operational efficiency and ensure optimal resource utilization. Key aspects of the system include real-time monitoring of 3-phase AC supply, remote control of a 3-phase pumping motor, and implementation of a robust safety system using ultrasonic sensors to detect intruders during night time. Additionally, the utilization of a 25Wp solar panel reflects a commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices. This abstract provides an overview of the project's objectives, technologies utilized, and the innovative approach towards modernizing agricultural operations through IoT integration.
