Cost Analysis of SHP Potential in Maharashtra-A Review

Abstract

North East States in India are rich with the Small Hydro Potential; even then the Maharashtra State has ample potential for the Renewable Energy including SHP (Small Hydro Power). Renewable Energy includes the solar, wind, biomass etc. Fossil fuels are very limited and supposed to be end in future. Therefore there is a need of application of the renewable resources for the generation of power. Small Hydro is one of the options available under renewable resources. The detailed analysis of these potential sites was every time done by the affiliated agencies. Based on the data available for the Maharashtra State is considered for this paper and analysis is done.
