Lab Automation Using Android Application

Abstract


In this paper, we will deliberate how to control lab appliances, safety and security system using GSM and Bluetooth technology by using android application through android mobile phone. The advantage of using GSM technology is that we can control appliances from anywhere. This system allows  us to control the lab appliances and to receive a feedback status of the lab appliance by sending  instructions in the form of SMS as well as through an android application. The lab automation improves lifestyle of control of lab devices. The wireless communication is increasing day by day. This improvement motivated us to use mobile phones to remotely control lab appliances. The proposed system is user friendly an easy to use. The system is using Global system for mobile communication (GSM) modem  to control lab appliances via Short Message Service(SMS). Our major focus is on controlling the lab appliances through Bluetooth and GSM from indoor and outdoor.
