Design and Implementation of a Cost-effective Transformerless Rechargeable Mosquito Repellent

Abstract


This paper presents a simple low-cost design and implementation of a rechargeable mosquito repellent. The circuit is based on 555 Timer IC and a Transformer-less power supply using X-rated capacitors. It is simple and easy to build with few components. The system has been broken down into two major parts namely; DC power supply and repellent circuit. Details of each sub-circuit are described in the paper.
