

KARNA-An App to Prevent Hearing Loss by Examining Personal Listening Device Use
Abstract
The popularity of personal listening devices (PLDs), including headphones and earbuds as well as multipurpose electronics with audio playback capabilities such as media tablets, computers, and cell phones, has surged, particularly among younger individuals [1]. Modern PLDs possess features that enable users to enjoy their favorite music for extended durations, including enhanced portability, the capacity to store a vast number of digital audio files, and longer battery life compared to earlier models [1]. Given the increasing use of these devices, concerns have been raised about their potential impact on listeners' hearing [2, 3]. This research aims to evaluate the effects of music listening through PLDs. Our project "KARNA", an innovative mobile application built on Flutter that leverages machine learning and Power BI technologies for the early detection of hearing loss based on the analysis of decibel ranges
