Dr. Kondekal Manjunatha

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative technology influencing almost every aspect of modern society. From healthcare and education to industry, governance, and daily life, AI-driven systems are reshaping how humans interact with technology and make decisions. While AI offers significant benefits such as improved efficiency, accuracy, and automation, it also raises critical social, ethical, and economic concerns. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of major AI applications and analyzes their impact on society. The study discusses both positive and negative implications, focusing on employment, privacy, ethics, decision-making, and social equity. The paper also highlights challenges associated with AI adoption and proposes future directions for developing responsible and human-centered AI systems.
