Isolated DC-DC Converter for Low Voltage Sources

Abstract


In this paper an isolated DC – DC converter is proposed for DC input sources like Battery, energy storage device, PV panel.A prototype kit has the capacity of step up the voltage and reduces the ripple in the output voltage by adding pi filter, input voltage is DC source which is 12v PV module, and it is connected to the inverter to convert DC to AC. here input voltage is 12v and output voltage is 70V. Here voltage stress of power switches is reduced at low voltage side. At high voltage side, Zero current switching off occurs in power diode. By reducing switching power losses the overall efficiency of the converter is improve. To achieve fast output voltage control, a modified proportional and integral controller is used.
