Abstract

This paper presents the design and development of an affordable ventilator system integrated with vital monitoring capabilities. In response to the urgent need for accessible medical equipment, particularly during times of crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic, this project aims to provide a cost-effective solution without compromising on functionality. The methodology involves an innovative approach leveraging underactuated mechanisms to achieve efficient ventilation. The design process, including conceptualization, prototyping, and testing, is detailed, followed by the presentation of results and conclusions regarding the effectiveness and potential impact of the developed system.
