Hybrid Optical Wireless Communication System for Indoor High-Speed Data Transmission
Abstract
Visible Light Communication (VLC) has emerged as a promising alternative to conventional radio frequency communication due to its energy efficiency, high bandwidth, and ubiquitous nature. This paper presents a prototype system for transmitting text data using VLC technology. The system employs a light-emitting diode (LED) as the transmitter and a photodiode as the receiver, utilizing On-Off Keying (OOK) modulation.
Results indicate successful text transmission over short distances with minimal interference. This work demonstrates the feasibility of VLC in low-cost, short- range applications.
