Design and Development of Static Voltage Stability Enhancer

Kiran Jambhale, Siddhika Suryawanshi, Prerana Jadhav, Dr. Deepali Shinde

Abstract

Voltage instability in electrical distribution systems can cause power quality issues, equipment damage, and reduced efficiency. This work presents the design of a Static Voltage Stability Enhancer (SVSE) using the PIC18F252 for fast and accurate voltage regulation. The system continuously monitors input voltage, applies real-time control through power- electronic switching and transformer tap selection, and maintains stable output within safe limits. Experimental results demonstrate improved voltage stability, rapid response, and reliable performance, making the SVSE a compact and cost- effective solution for domestic, commercial, and small-scale industrial applications.
