Abstract

Alzheimer’s is a disease that eventually destroys memory and other major mental functions of our brain. This disease doesn’t exist any cure but through proper medication and care we can temporarily control some symptoms. The proposed system has various features that could aid in maintaining the quality of life for patients with Alzheimer's. Music therapy has been known to provide emotional and cognitive benefits for individuals with Alzheimer's. Face recognition technology could be used to identify familiar faces and reduce anxiety and confusion. Fall detection and wander detection could provide added safety measures for individuals who may be prone to falls or wandering. Reminders and personal diary as voice notes could help in keeping track of important events, appointments and daily routines. The use of sensors and GPS can enable the system to track location and assist in navigation. Storing data in a SQLite database is a good approach as it provides a lightweight and efficient way to store data on the device. It's important to keep in mind that this system is not a substitute for medical care and supervision. However, it can provide support and assistance for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, and help their caregivers to manage their daily routines more effectively.
