Smart Fire Fighting Drone using YOLO and D*algorithm

Abstract


The escalating threat of fire disasters, resulting in numerous casualties and substantial property damage, has under- scored the critical need for innovative firefighting technologies. Current fire-extinguishing systems often prove inefficient and inadequately tested, leading to delayed responses by firefighters. This issue is particularly pronounced in high-rise buildings and bushfire scenarios, where timely intervention becomes exponen- tially challenging. The absence of dedicated emergency vehicle roads in developing countries further exacerbates response de- lays.

Addressing these challenges, this research introduces a pio- neering prototype of a fire extinguishing ball thrower quadcopter. The aim is to provide a sustainable solution to enhance firefight- ing capabilities. The prototype incorporates experimental objects simulating fire-extinguishing balls, laying the groundwork for future applications in fire suppression. This innovative approach strives to revolutionize firefighting practices, offering increased efficiency and effectiveness in mitigating fire disasters.
