A Car-bot Waiter for Providing Services of Restaurants to Limit Human in Pandemics like COVID-19

Abstract


In our daily life, the Artificial Intelligence-based robot has taken an important role. It has now become an essential element in the modern 4th Industrial world. Irrespective of one’s concern, everyone takes help from the robot. In this work, we have proposed an android controlled car robot to serve food and others in the restaurant namely “car-bot waiter”. The developed android device has control over the car’s movement through any specific path. The main motive of the car-bot is to serve food and others to the customers in an intended restaurant. This will save time of the customers while serving faster and smoothly providing services in a restaurant. We have designed, implemented and analyzed the developed system with some specifications to find a suitable replacement for human in a low cost faster served restaurant and reported here. Initially the car-bot is designed to carry a very low weight - approximately 2kg with a tiny space. As social distance is very important in some health emergencies in any pandemics like COVID-19 or any other touch diseases, our car-bot waiter can be a very effective and smart solution.
