Smart Electric Energy Meter

Kashyap Panchal, Ishani Mody, Santosh Rathod

Abstract

Electricity is now one of the most widely used and significant resources in human life. Electricity generation and supply are improving faster than ever before because to advances in technology. However, electricity generation and distribution are not free, and users are charged for every watt of electricity consumed. Several businesses provide and distribute energy to customers, generate bills, but charge wrongly based on the number of units consumed and the price per unit. Electricity use is monitored by the firms themselves, and they use their own metres, which can be faulty or inaccurate at times, resulting in an incorrect charge. Users frequently request that the firm review the power use, but this rarely happens, and the bill remains unchanged. This necessitates the development of a system that allows users to install and monitor their own electricity use so that, in the event of a dispute, they can refer to their own metre, keep a record, and make a point.
