Computer Science Students’ Attitude and Performance in a Management Course

Abstract


Management as a discipline of study teaches the optimal use of resources for achieving set goals. The computer science curriculum at the undergraduate level consists of a management course for final year students. The attitude and performance of students over the academic session has have shown that the students do not excel in this course. This study thus set out to determine the attitude of students to learning learn about management and their performance in an assessment. An online assessment was carried out and an online survey was carried out on final year students of Computer Science in a tertiary institution in Nigeria. The results indicate that learning about management is important with a large number passing the assessment.
