Abstract

A project titled "CipherTrace Analyzer" focuses on developing a comprehensive digital forensic analysis platform that enables deep structural examination and cryptographic analysis of digital files through advanced file carving and data recovery techniques. Initially, the project began with a basic concept of file structure analysis using simple hash generation and entropy calculation. The present version has evolved into a sophisticated forensic tool that performs digital DNA sequencing, automated malware detection, chain of custody tracking, and NIST-compliant evidence handling, allowing for comprehensive digital investigation and data recovery operations.

The platform now features multi-layered analysis capabilities including cryptographic fingerprinting (MD5, SHA-256, and CRC32), behavioral malware scanning, advanced file carving for data recovery, and professional forensic reporting. It automatically detects file structures, analyzes entropy patterns for encryption detection, and reconstructs damaged or corrupted data using header-based and footer-based carving techniques. The system is particularly valuable for digital forensics investigators, cybersecurity professionals, and data recovery specialists working with corrupted storage media, malware analysis, and digital evidence preservation.
