Identification of Improvement Areas for channel manufacturing Medium Size Spherical Roller Bearing

Abstract

In this competitive world, all the manufacturing firms need to work on various improvement strategies to survive as well as gain in the market. This paper aims to identify potential improvement areas in a channel which is used to mass manufacture medium sized spherical roller bearing. Identification of various losses in the production line, man-machine engagement, bottleneck stations, setup time etc. is done along with Pareto analysis. Later, once the solutions to the problems are found, it will be compared with the existing parameters.
