Review on MR Damper with Energy Harvesting System

Pranav P. Belekar, Prabhakar D. Maskar

Abstract

This work presents a thorough analysis of the current literature on energy generated magnetorheological (MR) fluid-based dampers, modelling, and MR damper applications. The review begins with an introduction to the fundamentals of magnetic resonance fluid (MR fluid) and their many modes, effects with various types of MR fluid-based devices, and their pertinent applications. Additionally, different MR damper configurations and its uses are shown. The modelling of the MR fluids and the modelling of the MR fluid-based damper are then discussed in accordance with the configurations and arrangements. Analytical modelling of energy-generated magnetorheological fluid damper systems, performance analysis concerns, and design and advancement issues are covered in the review's final section.
