Abstract

In the oil industry, Integrated Operations (IO) projects are designed to streamline and enhance efficiency by integrating onshore and offshore activities through real-time data management. This article explores how simulating the design layout for a collaborative environment within an IO project reveals important insights into the future organization of work. The simulation process, characterized by participatory dynamics and layout evaluations, not only reviewed furniture and room configurations but also initiated discussions about workforce requirements and the organization of work processes.
