Headlight System Control for the Steering

Aekansh Mishra

Abstract

Steering-controlled headlights are an advanced vehicle lighting system that adjusts the direction of the headlights in synchronization with the steering angle. Unlike standard headlights that project light straight ahead, these directional headlights follow the vehicle's steering, illuminating the road ahead more effectively during turns and enhancing nighttime driving safety. Introduced with the Citroën DS, this technology has evolved from mechanical linkages to more sophisticated electronic controls. By incorporating steering input, these headlights provide better visibility around curves and over hills, thus improving driving safety and comfort.
