Structure of the Roll Cage as Designed and Analyzed for SUPRA SAE: A Synopsis

Abstract

This review paper presents a comprehensive study of the design and analysis of roll cage structures for SUPRA SAE vehicles. The SUPRA (SAE) competition provides a rigorous environment for engineering students to apply and enhance their skills in practical settings. This paper explores the complete design process of the roll cage for SAE vehicles, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of both static and dynamic conditions as reported in previous studies. A 3D CAD model of the roll cage will be created using SolidWorks, with FEA conducted using Nastran.
