DNA Sequence Analyzer Using Web-Based Technologies

Ananth Deshmukh, Arijeet Yadav, Gajanan M. Naik

Abstract

DNA sequence analysis is a fundamental process in bioinformatics used to understand genetic information. However, manual analysis of DNA sequences is complex and time- consuming due to the large volume of data. This paper presents a web-based DNA Sequence Analyzer developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to simplify and automate the analysis process. The system allows users to input DNA sequences and performs essential computations such as GC content calculation, reverse complement generation, and nucleotide frequency analysis. The application uses client-side scripting to provide real-time results without requiring backend processing or database integration. The proposed solution is lightweight, efficient, and user-friendly, making it suitable for educational and introductory research purposes. The results demonstrate accurate and fast computation, highlighting the effectiveness of integrating web technologies with biological data analysis.
