Real-Time Public Transport Tracking for Small Cities

Abstract


 A strong transit network helps cities grow in a smart way. Still, smaller towns often struggle because they don’t have modern tools to manage buses or routes. Delays happen more often. Riders get frustrated. Routes aren't used well either. This project builds a simple tracking setup that works fast, costs little, and can expand when needed. It uses basic GPS and mobile signal parts to follow vehicles around. Data goes into online storage space where it gets processed quickly. People see updates through phone apps or websites showing exactly where their bus is. Arrival guesses are shown clearly so users know what to expect. The idea’s to close the tech gap between big city transit and smaller towns using a low-cost, flexible fix. This approach gets tested for precision, speed, and savings - showing compact cities can upgrade transport systems affordably. Instead of heavy spending, they rely on smart design that works without complex setups.
