Abstract


This paper explores the design and implementation of a web application aimed at streamlining food donation processes. With the growing concern over food waste and food insecurity, there is a pressing need for innovative solutions to bridge the gap between surplus food and those in need. The proposed application utilizes real-time updates to connect food donors with nearby individuals. Through a user- friendly interface, donors can easily upload details about surplus food, while volunteers can browse available donations and schedule pickups. The application also incorporates features for reporting, facilitating transparency and accountability in the redistribution process. A case study analysis reveals the efficacy of the application in increasing food donations, reducing waste, and addressing food insecurity within communities. Overall, this research highlights the potential of technology-driven solutions in fostering more efficient and equitable food redistribution systems.
