Role of Herbal Plants Regarding Treatment of Icterus in India
Abstract
Among the most prevalent medical conditions affecting newborns, kids, and adults is jaundice. Jaundice is not an illness; rather, it is a symptom of liver disease that is evident when there is an increase in bilirubin levels, particularly in the blood due to aberrant metabolism and excretion in the urine. Long ago, our forefathers employed medicinal herbs, especially to cure jaundice problems. The usage of these herbal remedies is increasing quickly in the modern day because to their lower or nonexistent adverse effects and affordability when compared to synthetic medications.
India's rural and tribal populations use a variety of medicinal plants to cure jaundice, as this review study has explained. The information came from a variety of literature surveys conducted by various sources. The present research might be useful in the creation of novel medications, especially those intended to cure jaundice.
