Poor Lighting as a Major Impediment to Sustainable Road and Sea Transportation in Nigeria

Abstract


This study investigates the impact of poor lighting on sustainable road and sea transportation in Nigeria, focusing on Port Harcourt with global comparative perspectives. Poor lighting contributes to road accidents, crime insecurity, and limited economic during dark hours of the day. The research highlights the importance of adequate lighting infrastructure in achieving sustainable transport goals and aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
