Abstract

Cyber law is a significant area of law that addresses matters pertaining to digital communication, online transactions, the internet, and cybercrime. Cyber law is now essential for preserving security, privacy, and justice in the digital sphere due to the quick development of technology and internet usage in India. Important fundamental rights, like the freedom of speech and expression, the right to equality, and the right to life and personal liberty, are guaranteed by the Indian Constitution and apply online as well. The protection of constitutional rights in the digital sphere has grown in importance as online platforms and digital technology have become a part of everyday life. This study examines the connection between India's constitutional framework and cyber law.

It describes how cyber laws shield people against online fraud, identity theft, cyberbullying, hacking, and data breaches. The significance of the Information Technology Act of 2000 in governing electronic transactions and online activities is also emphasised in the report. The study addresses privacy violations, fake news, cybersecurity issues, and misuse of social media platforms in addition to the benefits of digital technology.

In order to safeguard constitutional rights in cyberspace, the study highlights the necessity of more robust cyber regulations, digital awareness, ethical internet usage, and enhanced cybersecurity systems. The study comes to the conclusion that in order to preserve democracy, justice, security, and individual freedom in the digital era, strong cyber laws and constitutional protections are crucial.
