Abstract


Splitwise - A Smart Bill Splitting and Expense Management System is a comprehensive web based application designed to simplify the often complex process of managing shared expenses among groups. Whether it's for roommates, friends on a trip, or team expenses, the system ensures transparency, fairness, and efficiency in tracking and settling shared bills. This project, named SplitExceed, user-friendly interface that allows users to create groups, add expenses, and split bills using various customizable methods (equally, by percentage, or the backend without relying on a traditional database), the system uses JSON files for data storage, ensuring lightweight and fast processing. The design prioritizes user experience, data privacy, and ease of use, making expense tracking and debt settlement both intuitive and reliable.
