Experimental Investigation on Self Compacting concrete beams produced by Partially replacing Sintered fly ash Aggregate

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to investigate the mechanical characteristics of concrete that contains sintered fly ash aggregate. This is accomplished by substituting lightweight sintered fly ash aggregate for coarse aggregate. In this experimental study an attempt made to study the usage of Sintered Fly ash  aggregates with super- plasticizers.The Sintered Fly ash aggregate was replaced in place of coarse aggregate in concrete by replacing 10%, 20%, 30% ,40% & 50 % of normal weight aggregate in volume fractions. The concrete mix design is done according to the rational mix design and replacement of lightweight aggregate calculated is based on volume and trial mixes are casted. And also the workability of fresh concrete and flexural strength at 28 days is determined.
