Literature Review: Advanced Tools in Construction

Jeel A. Patel, Prof. Arpit Gondaliya

Abstract

Advanced construction tools have revolutionized the field of civil engineering, enabling more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective building practices. This literature review examines the latest advancements in construction tools and technologies, focusing on their impact on project management, productivity, and safety. Key topics include the adoption of robotics, 3D printing, drones, automated machinery, and digital platforms such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and construction management software. The review highlights case studies demonstrating the benefits of these tools in reducing project timelines, minimizing waste, and improving precision in construction processes. Challenges such as high initial investment costs, skill gaps, and integration complexities are also discussed. The study emphasizes the importance of training programs and policy support to foster the widespread adoption of advanced tools, ultimately driving innovation and growth in the construction industry.
