EFFECTIVE COST CONTROL IN CONSTRUCTION PROJECT-A REVIEW

Abstract


Construction project management is the overall planning, coordination, and control of a project from inception to completion aimed to produce a functionally and financially, likely project in an effort to be completed on time within predicted cost and required quality requirements. In the construction business, typical problem is that the actual cost exceeds than the planned cost. Project Cost Control is found to be the difficult task in Cost Management.   The aim of this paper is to identify the recent cost control techniques used in the construction industry.   This paper is followed by the literature review, analyzing from the selected papers.   This review and analysis are grouped under the following: Cost control, Tracking system and additional approaches.  Based on this literature review findings, effective cost control techniques required for the successful implementation of Cost Control in the Construction Project are identified.
