Bangladesh's Ancient Building Architecture

Abstract

In Farashganj, B.K. Das Lane is regarded as one of Dhaka's oldest residential areas. The area started to develop during the Mughal era and continued during the Colonial era, as evidenced by the many ancient buildings along this road. However, the significant contributors to our respected history are in jeopardy due to unplanned urbanization. These days, it is imperative to identify these remarkable structures before they lose their unique, amazing features. In order to assess these noteworthy buildings and bring them into the public view, this study then explores the structures and styles of the earlier designs.
